I seem to be photographing a high number of weddings outdoors in recent years. And much of this is down to the upward swing in Civil and Humanist weddings. Which year on year is steadily climbing upwards. And it is easy to see why. The Civil / Humanist ceremony tends to be such a relaxed and chilled affairs. One of the venues which has an incredible place for an outdoor ceremony has to be Inish Beg
An estate near to Baltimore in West Cork.
If the weather plays ball then one of the most dynamic spots at Inish Beg has to be Hannibal’s H two O.
A tiny little Island where the ceremony takes place
And it is properly unique.
A tiny island tucked away in a wooded and lush green area. And the colours just pop.
And on first viewing I was completely blown away. Yet always felt it could tricky. But then again, I view every wedding as a bit tricky to be honest. Because I have to go into each wedding with brand new eyes. But then I get stuck in. Pick up on what’s happening and put it together.
Get right into the swing of it. And it is always then so rewarding once the dust has settled on the images.
Roisin & Marcel had contacted me about being their Inish Beg wedding Photographer. They were very excited about the potential. They really got the documentary style of wedding work I provide.
Like any time I have been to Inish Beg for weddings, Roisin & Marcel were just a totally cool couple. They were going. for a very cool vibe. And so it was. I felt that this is something that suits me down to the ground. They wanted a documentary wedding photographer to photograph their very vibrant Inish Beg wedding. And more than that they wanted me to photograph it. That is all I have to hear and I am hooked!
Check out this small selection which acts as a mere summary from Roisin & Marcel’s wedding celebration at Inish Beg. They had some wonderful and surprise entertainment mid meal too
